Onam Celebration 2019

Onam is the official state festival of Kerala. It is the annual remembrance of King Mahabali. The onam celebration and competitions conducted in our college at 6th September 2019, Friday. The program was started at 8.00am. All the students and teachers appeared in Kerala style. The first program was athapookkalam competition. There are 3 pookalams  from MEd students, BEd second years and BEd first years. Then we have onappattu, Thiruvathira Kali, and fusion dance from students and teachers. Then there was arranged onam sadya for all. After the lunch the competitions like vadam vali, sundarik potty thodeel, musical chair etc was conducted. Second year BEd students won first prize for athapookkalam. Principal and teachers are also participated in the competitions. It was a great day. Coordination, competition spirit, and togetherness are also arised on the special day.

Teacher's day 2019

Teachers' Day in India is celebrated on 5th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. On that day our college greatly celebrated. The occasion was started with prayer. The welcome speech was done by our college union chairman Rev. Fr. Mathew Baby. Principal Roy sir was done the presidential address. Our college manager Very. Rev. Fr. Zakariah Ramban inaugurated the ceremony. Our college's first principal George sir was the chief guest of the day. After the inaugural section, students honored to all teachers. Specially honored our Chief guest by manager. Then a cake cutting ceremony was arranged. After that we presented momentum to our recently PhD awarded teachers. Micro teaching demonstration sessions was arranged at the afternoon. The program was ended at 4.00pm.

Welcome function

Welcome function for our juniors was conducted on 30/8/2019 Friday afternoon. Principal Roy sir was inaugurated the ceremony. Our old teachers and new teachers felicitated the occasion. Then the introducing section of new commers was done by themselves. We gave simple activities for them. The program ended with small refreshments and national anthem.

Art and aesthetic education

As part of our third semester art education, a music class was conducted on 28 August. It was a special day, that is Ayyankali jayanthi. He is a famous social reformer who worked for the advancement of backward classes. The programme was started with a prayer section. Welcome speech was done by our Principal Roy sir, speech about Ayyankali was done by Bijin and then introduced our chief guest and resource person Dr. Thottam Bhuvanendran Nair sir by Riju sir. The class has two sectons. At first our resource person gave a detailed description about music and how it can be applied in regular class room. It was a very interesting class. He also present many poems and songs in front of us during the class. The second section was arranged after lunch. Each options are divided in to two or three groups. We students of Physical science divided in to two and each groups written and composed a song related to our subject. We prepared a song about the topic  'PERIODIC TABLE'. We give ...
