Overall Reflection



As part of the B.Ed curriculum, our second phase teaching practice was started at 4/11/2019 and ends at 10/1/2020. I have completed my 30 lesson templates, innovative lesson template, diagnostic test, innovative work, achievement test and conscientization program.

The weekend reflections are conducted in our college regularly with the presence of our teachers. They give valuable instructions for us and the student teachers shared their experiences also. I can complete two chapters of physics for class 8 and two chapters of chemistry for class 9. I did  the diagnostic test it's remedial teaching and achievement test in class 8. Peer evaluation is also conducted. Optional teacher and general teacher visited to watch our class and gave feed back for us. On 3/11/2020, we arranged conscientization program on the topic ' SUBSTANCE ABUSE '.

As a teacher trainee, I am very happy to complete my teaching practice successfully. The principal Roy sir, and other teachers from my college and The head mistress Ruby teacher, other teachers and non teaching staffs of S. G. H. S. Kottarakara gave support and suitable guidance to me. I am very much thankful for that. My companions in the school are Reethu teacher, Naifa teacher, Fr. Mathew Baby also helped me a lot. It was a valuable experience for my future life and teaching profession. I hope to became a good teacher.

On 2 August 2019 we teacher trainees of G. H. S. S Puthoor conducted an awareness class about drugs, it's side effects and health issues. For this program 8B class is selected. First we gave an introduction about the program. Then we explains about drug abuse in our society. Then shows a video which includes a story of drug addicted person.  ( http://sharevideo1.com/file/UmNhTFhRY2VkN0k=?t=ytb&f=co ). Pupil carefully watched the video. After that, we explained about the video and the after effects of using drugs. Then the students shared their experiences.  We also arranged a quiz competition  based on the same topic, and the winners awarded prices. At last we gave them an another work. That is we gave them a chance to create any poem, story, essay, picture, or cartoon as they can about the topic drug and alcohol abuse. Pupil interestingly participated in this program. It was a very nice experience.

Innovative lesson template

On 2 December 2019, I had taken my innovative lesson template of ' Properties of acid and base'  from the unit Acids, Bases, and salts of standard 9. It was a role play model. Students prepared and presented the role play very well. It was a good and active class.
